Exhibition Showcasing President Ho Chi Minh Through Stamps and Postcards

The event was held to commemorate the important anniversaries in the life of President Ho Chi Minh and to pay tribute to his contributions to the Vietnamese nation and humanity. The exhibition showcased a wide range of postal stamps, envelopes, letters, and postcards related to President Ho Chi Minh. The collection included stamps issued by Vietnam and other countries featuring President Ho Chi Minh, as well as stamps depicting the cities where he lived and worked. The exhibition was organized by Nguyen Dai Hung Loc, the vice chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Philatelic Association, with the aim of promoting the study and appreciation of President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morals, and lifestyle.

Photo: Wikipedia Anton Zeilinger is a professor of physics at the University of Vienna and a Senior Scientist at the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. His research group has demonstrated a phenomenon called quantum teleportation, which makes it possible to move a quantum state from one particle to one at a distance. Giant calligraphy hat breaks record as largest in Vietnam

The work has been done on the initiative of Dao Thi Cam Suong, a calligrapher from Can Tho. The giant conical hat is made up of a total of 540 smaller conical hats, with calligraphy written on top. Suong has spent 89 days writing the calligraphy and finding connections to produce the finished product. The words written on the giant hat include sightseeing spots in Can Tho, folk songs, proverbs, poems, and the names of various provinces and cities across the country. She shares that the purpose of her work is to honour the beauty of the fatherland through pieces of calligraphy. Indeed, the giant hat is created from 540 small conical hats which themselves represent the country’s 54 ethnic minority groups.
