Cultural Cooperation and Exchange Strengthened between Vietnam – India

On March 10, in Hanoi, Director General of the Department of International Cooperation of Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Phuong Hoa had a meeting with Director of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center in Hanoi Monica Sharma. On this occasion, the license of establishment and operation of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center in Hanoi was also awarded to the Indian Director. Director General Nguyen Phuong Hoa thanked Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center for coordinating and supporting the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to successfully organize Vietnamese Culture Days in India in December 2022. It is noted that the event was held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India. Vietnam Red Cross Sends $200,000 to Quake Victims in Turkey, Syria

Photo: laodongthudo.vn Statistics show that the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that hit southeastern Turkey and neighbouring Syria on February 6 was one of the strongest in the region over the past century. The natural disaster killed more than 50,000 people, destroyed thousands of houses, and caused economic losses worth some tens of billion of US dollars. The money was raised during the first phase of a fundraising campaign launched by the VRC Central Committee on February 17 in support of people hit by the devastating earthquake. As of March 6, it received donations and commitments of more than VND12 billion VND ($506,436) and goods from agencies, businesses and individuals. At the donation handover ceremony on March 9, over VND4 billion, in both cash and kind, was also raised by units and enterprises.
