Vietnamese ethnic costumes introduced at Bangkok Kids Int’l Fashion Week

A total of 12 child models open this year’s Bangkok Kids International Fashion Week, with the youngsters strutting down the runway in 12 colourful outfits. Young models with experience of performing at international events such as Cao Huu Nhat, Do Bao Han, and Doan Ngoc Diep, are on hand to showcase Ngoc’s designs. These designs introduce international audiences to the Vietnamese Ao Dai. Dac Ngoc, a trailblazer, has become the first Vietnamese representative at a number of international fashion weeks over recent years, including Malaysia Fashion Week 2018, London Fashion Week – House of Ikons 2019, Saint – Petersburg Kids Fashion Day, Vie Fashion Week 2019 (Dubai), Bangkok International Kids Fashion Show 2010, Luxury Brand Global Fashion Week, and Thailand Fashion Week 2022. Tales of Hanoi Streets: The ‘Underworld’ Market in Hanoi

Today, 19 Thang 12, or the 19th of December, is Hanoi’s first book street, crowded with visitors walking around and taking pictures. Named “Hanoi Book Street”, it was once a market known only by Hanoians born before the early 1980s, with a spooky name: the Underworld Market. An Pham, 54, a resident who lives in Cua Nam Ward, Hoan Kiem District, told The Hanoi Times that when she was a child, she was filled with fear whenever she walked down Hai Ba Trung Street or Ly Thuong Kiet Street. Vietnamese King’s gold seal to be repatriated from France

The decision comes following negotiations between relevant Vietnamese agencies and the French auction house. Millon has agreed to transfer the gold seal to the Vietnamese side in the spirit of consensus, understanding and the friendly relationship between Vietnam and France, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said on November 14 evening. The ministry said hearing about the news that imperial seal of King Minh Mang (1820-1841) would be put up for auction along with more than 300 antiquities hailing from or related to Vietnam on October 31, the ministry and relevant ministries and agencies have developed plans in an effort to bring the seal home. An inter-agency working group was established to directly engage in negotiations with the French auction house. Millon postponed two tentative auctions, awaiting decisions from Vietnam.
