Vietnamese restaurant in Asia's 25 best

Kabin Restaurant, on the second floor of the Renaissance Riverside Hotel in downtown Ho Chi Minh City ranked 24th in the annual Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards.

The dishes are cooked according to traditional recipes, served in a luxurious space.

Kabin also ranked first on the list of 10 best luxury restaurants in Vietnam. The remaining 9 restaurants include: Vista Restaurant (Mui Ne, Binh Thuan), Temple Restaurant (Hoi An, Quang Nam), Hemispheres Steak & Seafood Grill, Rhythms Restaurant, Cloud Nine Restaurant and French Grill (Hanoi), Moo Beef Steak – Prime (Ho Chi Minh City), Grill 63 (Hanoi), Don Cipriani’s (Da Nang).

Photo: Wikipedia Anton Zeilinger is a professor of physics at the University of Vienna and a Senior Scientist at the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. His research group has demonstrated a phenomenon called quantum teleportation, which makes it possible to move a quantum state from one particle to one at a distance. For Anders Irbäck, Chair of the Nobel Committee for Physics, “It has become increasingly clear that a new kind of quantum technology is emerging. Giant calligraphy hat breaks record as largest in Vietnam

The work has been done on the initiative of Dao Thi Cam Suong, a calligrapher from Can Tho. The giant conical hat is made up of a total of 540 smaller conical hats, with calligraphy written on top. Suong has spent 89 days writing the calligraphy and finding connections to produce the finished product. The words written on the giant hat include sightseeing spots in Can Tho, folk songs, proverbs, poems, and the names of various provinces and cities across the country. She shares that the purpose of her work is to honour the beauty of the fatherland through pieces of calligraphy. Indeed, the giant hat is created from 540 small conical hats which themselves represent the country’s 54 ethnic minority groups.
